Folk Journeys with David England
A fantastic storyteller and author of 'Berkshire Folk Tales'. "I love telling stories which make my heart sing, hoping they’ll make your heart sing too. I love telling stories which make me laugh. Stories which I know can captivate an audience. Stories which touch the soul. I love telling stories to an audience of children and parents. I love to engage with the audience, making faces, noises, movements, dancing, answering back, playing silly instruments. I love offering children the chance to sit in the storytelling chair and tell stories themselves to an enraptured audience, often for the first time." We are delighted to welcome David and his love of storytelling to the Village, joined by the talented Ed England playing beautiful period instruments.

Josie Felce and The Magic Harp
Josie Felce has been a professional storyteller since 1995. In the 80’s she spent five years running her own puppet theatre company, which performed in the ancient castles of Gwynedd, and ran puppet workshops in schools focussed on discovering African culture and Welsh stories. Based in the West of UK, she has told stories in schools in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Cornwall and Wales, as well as in Barcelona and Costa Rica. She published a book in 2012, “Storytelling for Life” (Floris ) which suggests different ways of telling stories, describes her personal journey through storytelling and the way in which the Steiner curriculum uses storytelling for the development of children. Josie understands the importance of conversational stories, and is passionate about the healing potential of storytelling. She plays the ‘Clarsach’ , the lever harp, in her enchanting sessions.

Productions”. Through this company Jane has written, directed and produced 16 shows for Legoland Windsor Resort and has just returned from a run at the Edinburgh Festival with their brand new family comedy “The Grimmest of Grimm Tales”.
